Privacy Policy
HITTER: Volleyball Highlights · Schmidt Digital LLC
Effective June 24, 2026
What this policy covers
This policy describes how the HITTER: Volleyball Highlights app ("HITTER," "the app") handles information. It is specific to HITTER. For Schmidt Digital LLC's general company and website policy, see schmidtdigital.app.
Information we collect
We never receive your information. Schmidt Digital LLC does not transmit, sell, or share the information you put into HITTER. We operate no server that receives your data, and we have no ability to see the players, stats, games, or video you create in the app.
HITTER does let you enter personal information directly into the app — most importantly player names (first and last), which are often those of minors — along with the games, stats, and footage you record. This information stays on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. It is yours, and it never reaches us.
Where your data lives
- On your device. The players, games, and hitting stats you track are stored locally on your device.
- In your own iCloud (optional). If you are signed in to iCloud, the app uses Apple's private CloudKit database to sync your data across your own devices. This is your personal iCloud storage governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Schmidt Digital LLC has no access to it. You can turn iCloud off in your device settings.
Photos and video
With your permission, HITTER reads video you select from your photo library to build highlight reels and clips, and saves finished reels and clips back to your library. All of this happens on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to us or to any third party. You can grant or revoke photo access at any time in your device's Settings.
Purchases
HITTER offers a one-time in-app purchase (HITTER Pro). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of purchases is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
HITTER contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or third-party tracking software. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is nothing to track.
Accounts and login
HITTER has no account system and does not require a login. iCloud sync, if enabled, uses your existing Apple ID implicitly — the app never asks for or collects your name, email address, or other contact details.
Children's privacy
HITTER is rated 4+ and is commonly used to track minors' volleyball performance, so the player names and stats stored in the app are often those of children. Because all of this information stays on your device and in your own private iCloud and is never transmitted to or accessible by Schmidt Digital LLC, we do not receive or collect personal information from children (or from anyone) within the meaning of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Any personal information about a minor in the app remains under the control of the parent, coach, or player who entered it. We do not knowingly receive personal information from children, and the app is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting their information online.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data never leaves your control, you manage its retention entirely. To delete your data, delete the relevant players, games, or reels in the app, delete the app, and/or remove HITTER's data from iCloud in your device settings. Since we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our end — but you may contact us with any privacy question at any time.
Changes to this policy
If HITTER's data practices change (for example, if a future feature introduces shared or public data), we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before that feature ships.
